Do or Dye is a Minigame featured in Feral. It can be found in To Dye For.

Description[]

Do or Dye is a single-player game where players have to mix different ingredients in a certain order to find the correct combination. Through this game, players can earn LikesDyes, and other goodies as they progress.

Guide[]

Players start the game with a wheel containing a number of ingredients. They can spin the wheel to select a different ingredient before clicking the "Drop" button to give it to a beetle. When the player is ready, they can click the "Mix" button to reveal the results of the round.

There are three different hint symbols to help the player determine whether a combination is correct or not; the Star, which means they have the right ingredient in the right position, the Diamond, which means they have the right ingredient in the wrong order, and the Dark Symbol, which means that they have the wrong ingredient that is not used anywhere in the round.

If the player runs out of the amount of correct ingredients before they find the correct combination, that round will be lost. Scoring is done through a mix of how many ingredients are left in the wheel and how long it took the player to figure out the correct brew. Having more ingredients left and figuring out the solution faster will result in a higher score, which in turn rewards better prizes.

If the player gets the correct combination on their first try, they will receive 100 points in what is called a "Lucky Shot." If the player uses the very last ingredient in a compartment in the solution, they will receive 100 points as a "Last Resource" bonus.

Tips[]

  • If duplicate ingredients are allowed, put all of the first ingredient onto the beetles. Depending on how many are correct, go one at a time to figure out where the placements are. Continue this strategy with the next ingredients until you can figure out the correct combination.

Depending on if it is correct or not, cycle the ingredient through the beetles until you find the right placement.
