Mugmyre Marsh is the first released Realm of The Expanse. Its main purpose is to allow players to forage for resources and find treasure chests.
Description[]
Mugmyre Marsh is a large, swamp-like area where most of the game's resources are found. The realm is characterized by large trees resembling mangroves, glowing mushrooms, steep hills, various plants and bodies of water, and more. Most of Mugmyre Marsh is made up of mud, rocks and dirt. Its primary areas are the Kobold Camp, Swampside Town, and Sporesville.
In this realm, players forage for ingredients, minerals, plants, and other resources, such as Runic Heartwood, Runic Mites, Runic Bark, and Purelight Blooms, among other things. They can also go fishing in the lakes and ponds and find various types of aquatic creatures and plants.
There are multiple Treasure Chests scattered in the realm, either open or guarded with 1-3 locks that players must use Lockpicks to open. Their locations and colors are reset and changed during Map Rotations.
Many NPCs can be found throughout Mugmyre Marsh.
Regions[]
Kobold Camp[]
The Kobold Camp is the only region of Mugmyre Marsh primarily inhabited by Kobolds. It is extremely dense, with many large trees that cover most of the sky. A dark blue haze blocks out most of a players view, so navigation can be tricky without the help of a map. Many glowing mushrooms of all colors and dark gloomy water surrounds the edges of the area, making it quite ominous.
Swampside Town[]
The Swampside Town is a very open area, with few trees and many vast lakes and ponds filled to the brim with clear turquoise water. The town itself is small and local, with huts and docks compacted tightly with one another. NPCs appear to have strong connections to one another, both good and bad, giving the region a very dynamic atmosphere.
Sporesville[]
Sporesville is a small village located in flat swampy terrain, with frequent puddles and bodies of water littered around its borders. The region itself glows a soft salmon color, unlike the other locations of Mugmyre Marsh. As well as being extremely different from its neighboring regions, it is unique for its many statues and ruins, one of which was once interactive with its own NPC, Bartholomew.
