Pickens are a species of NPC in Feral. They can be found in Mugmyre Marsh and Blood Tundra.
Description[]
Pickens are small green three-eyed birds with bright crimson combs on both their head and tail. Their body is round and low to the ground, walking on four stubby legs, while also having a pair of small wings that flap occasionally. The majority of their color is a dark sea green, while their head and neck is a lighter shade of green. On each leg, there is a darker shade on the very tip of the nubs.
In the quest Missing Feathered Friends, a new blue variation of the picken is introduced. They have identical proportions, but are a dark navy blue with a lighter baby blue neck and head, as well as bold orange combs.
Quests[]
- Pickens are included in the quest Missing Feathered Friends, where the objective is to find 10 pickens. The pickens of this quest are simply known as Picken instead of being referred to by individual names, and interestingly enough, have different color variations when compared to the common picken found in Mugmyre Marsh.
- Pickens are also included in the quest Captain Cluck, in which players must retrieve an ancient stolen artifact from Captain Cluck's former first mate.
Picken NPCs[]
Picken are usually referred to collectively as 'Picken'; however, in the quest Missing Feathered Friends, Julian mentions the name of the ten missing quest picken. They are known as Agathe, Clucky, Gerald, Beaky, Sir Featherbottom, Tony, Princess Esmeralda, Lil' Romeo, Fluffy, and Denise.
In the Blood Tundra, two picken NPCs can be found; Captain Cluck and First Mate Picken.
Trivia[]
- The Picken Hat is fashioned after them.
- It is speculated that the Green Egg Inspiration is most likely the egg of a picken, due to its location (behind a picken on a mailbox) and the creatures' resemblance to chickens.
