The Senri is a mythological feline-like creature. It was confirmed that the Senri would be a playable avatar on December 13th, 2019, when closed beta testing began. It is one of the two free starter avatars along with the Kitsune.
Description[]
"Tenacious. Agile. Charismatic."
By default, the Senri is a tall, slender feline with golden fur, long ears, and a winding tail. It has gray horns and long, skinny legs with no viewable paws or feet. In customization, the Senri's default body parts can be exchanged and the avatar resized to the player's liking, and it features plentiful eye shapes and pupil styles.

"Nekomata" by Sawaki Suushi, 1737
The animal originated in Chinese lore as a cat yōkai with the name of "senri" (仙狸), meaning "leopard cat." Legends say that the animal would grow old and gain spiritual powers, shapeshift into a human, and suck peoples' souls. The senri is associated with the mythological Japanese animal "nekomata" because both creatures seem to have the same or similar powers and characteristics, and some theorize that the legend of nekomata were derived from ancient Chinese tales of the senri.
