Seraphs are a species of NPC within Feral. They can be found in City Fera, the Shattered Bay, and the Sunken Thicket.

Description[]

Seraphs are tall and slender humanoid creatures. They have white faces with two or three eyes and varying skin colors. Occasionally, they will have either feathered or webbed wings on their back and/or antenna-like protrusions on the top of their head.

Typical Clothing[]

Seraphs are generally seen wearing thick full-body drapes and head coverings, and sometimes a necklace. All of their clothing vary in color and design, but they generally have two or three similar colors.

Trivia[]

  • Seraphs have appeared in Lakeroot Valley and Mugmyre Marsh for quests, but cannot be found passively in any of the expanse realms.
  • Early in Feral's launch, Seraphs were called Citizens. However, this was changed at an unknown date, presumably because 'Citizens' implied they were all Citizens of City Fera, something which WildWorks' KitSenDragn suggests is not true. This change was informally announced on the official Discord server on August 28th, 2020.[1]
    • Citizens have never been referred to as such within the game itself, however, a myriad of filenames associated with them dubbed them as Citizens. As other species are referred to with their correct name in Feral's assets, this could be why the assumption was made.
  • Before the Seraphs' name was confirmed as such, two items were released in Feral that referenced them. The Letter Summons Inspiration refers to Seraphs within its description, and the Rare Posh Seraph Collar is named after them, and resembles an accessory style Seraph NPCs can wear. Before the name was confirmed, there was much confusion over what these two items were actually referring to, as there was not any entity known as 'Seraph' in game at this time.
  • The name "Seraph", originating from Ancient Judaism, is a Hebrew word, literally translating to "burning ones" and typically referring to an angel. The plural for seraph in Hebrew is seraphim.[2]
