Unbinding is the process that players can use to get rid of their Dyes, Accessories, and Furniture by converting them back into Likes and Ingredients, similar to a recycling feature.

In the words of Latchkey, unbinding is described as "to reclaim [an item's] base materials." This process can be done by visiting the NPC Latchkey in Latchkey's Lab.
Technical[]
When unbinding items, you get 30% of the crafting ingredients/likes, rounded up. Based on this formula, the crafting recipes for uncraftable items can be approximately found, however, because of the rounding it won't be an exact recipe. Any dyes used on the items are not received.
