What the Hex? is a Minigame featured in Feral. It can be found in the Sunken Thicket.
Description[]
What the Hex? is a strategy-based single-player mini-game in which players have to match hexagonal figures called "runes" that have different elemental tiles with the objective of earning rewards for the most sets of elemental tiles matches. Through this game, players can earn Likes, Accessories, and other rewards as they progress.
Elemental Runes[]
The game has three different Elements in the Tiles: Flame 
, Flora 
, and Miasma 
. Each Element has its own Elemental Meter, which can be filled by scoring points. When these meters are filled completely, they reward players with prizes that start off as small amounts of Likes and move their way up to Ingredients, Furniture, and Accessories.
Players start the game by being given three Runes that may contain one, two, or three Elements. They can click on the Rune to shift the Elemental Tiles around before clicking and dragging it onto a spot of the board. Combining matching Tiles will give grant a Combo boost, which fills up the Power-Up Meter, and it will give players points on their respective Elemental Meter. When the Power-Up Meter is full, it will give the player a Bomb Rune, which can be placed in any spot on the board and will destroy regular Tiles within a one-Tile radius around it. When Elemental Meters are filled, players will get a Cyclone 
instead of a Rune. These Cyclones only take up one space and the color matches the Element it's for. Cyclones can absorb all chained Tiles of the same Element, so they must be placed strategically in order for the player to not run out of board space. All of these chained Tiles will then merge into one spot where the Cyclone was placed, showing the number of how many Elemental Tiles were merged into the Cyclone. The number indicates how many tiles it amounts to when combined with more matching tiles.

Tips[]
- Put as many of the elements into a chain as you can before using the Elemental Cyclone.
- The Bomb does not remove the Tiles with collected elements, so it's wiser to save your Bomb for a short period of time and use it in a place that only has single Elemental Tiles and doesn't have any matches. Don't save your bomb for too long though, since they don't stack.
- Put your Runes on the edges of the board when possible to save space in the middle.
- If you have trouble visualizing, you can grab your pieces and hover them over the board to help see what your options are.
Trivia[]
- At the beginning of Feral's Beta Testing, the game was located in City Fera. However, it was moved shortly after when Sunken Thicket was released.
- "What the Hex?" is a play on "What the heck?" with Hex (hexagons).
- There is a glitch in which when a player tries to put down a tile, it just floats there.
